4] What is the Imagine Mailing List and how to get it

Imagineers,

welcome to the Imagine Mailing List (IML). Users from around the world gather here to discuss different topics of the Imagine rendering package from Impulse. Users share their tips, tricks, ideas, concerns, compliments, dismays, tutorials, FAQS, and many other subjects here on the list.

Currently all 502 members are known as "Imagine Subscriber" on the list. To fix this and make maintenace easier in the future, I ask that You send a message to:

LISTSERV@SJUVM.STJOHNS.EDU

and in Your body of message, write (do not include brackets):

REG [First Name] [Last Name]

Now that You have done that, I bet You want to know how to send messages to the list. To do this, a messages to the IML should be addressed to:

IMAGINE@SJUVM.STJOHNS.EDU

There are several nice features of the LSOFT listserver that You should be aware of, more informations on LISTSERV commands can be found in the LISTSERV reference card, which You can retrieve by sending an "INFO REFCARD" command to LISTSERV@SJUVM.STJOHNS.EDU.

If a friend wants to subscribe or You want to leave the IML, send a message to the listserv address with the following in the body of the message:

SUBSCRIBE IMAGINE [First Name] [Last Name]
UNSUBSCRIBE IMAGINE
